Tour program “New Year holidays: Baikal Style!”:

Day 1

Gathering of the group at the train station or airport in Irkutsk from 8 ещ 10 a.m.

Travel from Irkutsk to Utulik. Accommodation at the tourist center “Baikal bears”.

After a hot cup of tea, we begin our trip. Going to Baikal. Acquaintance with the Legendary Lake.

Preparing for the New Year’s/ Christmas celebration and a meeting with Ded Moroz (Father Frost) and Snegurochka (Snow Maiden).

A small entertainment program.

Meals: festive dinner

Accommodation: tourist center “Baikal bears”, double occupancy, facilities in the room.

Day 2

A trip to Sobolinaya mountain - a popular ski resort in Baikalsk!

Late breakfast. A trip to Baikalsk.

An aerial lift to the mountain Sobolinaya, where you can admire a wonderful panorama of lake Baikal.

Skiers and snowboarders can try out the slopes of the mountain. Lunch at a cafe (at own expense).

Travel to our cozy cottage.

A visit to an ICE BANYA (sauna) (upon request, at own expense).

You will have a unique opportunity to experience the heat of the ice banya, built on the shore of lake Baikal, and a burning effect of the cold water of the Holy Lake!

Day 3

Excursion "A journey to the land of hills".

We will visit Arshan village, placed at the foot of the majestic mountain peaks of Sayany. Moving to the south from Baikal along wide Tunkinskaya valley between two mountain ranges (Sayany and Hamar-Daban) – that looks like a landscape from another reality, where time stops in a flow of bizarre clouds, in an endless flight of a proud eagle, in a sleepy movement of horses on endless expanses of the valley… But we are in a hurry to discover the wonderful world of Baikal gifts.

The mineral waters of Arshan are good for the gastrointestinal tract. Pure mountain air combined with mineral water has a wonderful healing effect for tired citizens, and a path to the waterfalls of Kyngarga River according to ancient beliefs prolongs human life for as many years, as many times a man has been to Arshan.

We will definitely visit Khoymorskiy datsan, located in a quiet and peaceful place near the Arshan village.

A traditional building in oriental style with observance of all the Buddhist rules. As a sign of respect, we will go through the Goroo (circle) clockwise for purification from bad acts that were committed in current and past lives, then spin the prayer cylinders to activate mantras within them, and only after that we will go inside the temple (optional).

We will get a great amount of energy, visiting hot springs and curative mud of Zhemchug village. There is nothing like a nice hot mineral outdoor shower! Methane baths relax, restore our nervous system and have an anti-aging effect. Mineral mud is used for musculoskeletal system treatment. The healing springs of Zhemchug village are recommended as a treatment of male and female diseases.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will go on an exciting and a bit extreme journey on snowmobiles.

Riding through the magic forest and the snowy mountains of Khamar-Daban.

Return to the camp in the evening.

Travel from Utulik to Irkutsk. Accommodation in a hotel.

Day 5

Travel to Listvyanka village.

During the trip we will stop to visit the unique Park-Museum in Taltsy village where you will be able to learn a lot of interesting things from the excursion.

Lunch at a cafe.

Travel from Taltsy village to Listvyanka village.

Visit to the Limnological Museum that presents very clearly all the information about the great lake. Exhibitions are devoted to the history of the lake, the specifics of natural landscapes, seismic environment, the animal world of Baikal and the history of its studying.

A ride on a funicular to the observation point "Chersky Stone" which offers a beautiful view: entire Listvennichny (Larch) Bay, famous source of the Angara River and the legendary Shaman Stone.

Back to the hotel.

Day 6

Travel to the airport.
